Quickies
Ticket terms

What you are buying, and what happens if plans change.

Plain language, no traps. If anything here is unclear, email hello@quickies.com before you buy and we will explain it.

The headlines

Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. Cannot make it? Send someone in your place, no charge and no paperwork, just tell us who is coming.

The event confirms once it hits the minimum number of tickets. If it does not confirm by the date shown on the ticket page, you get a full refund or a credit toward the rescheduled night. Your choice.

If we cancel, you get a full refund. Always, no conditions.

Why tickets are non-refundable

Speed dating only works if the room is balanced and the people who said they would come actually come. A ticket that can be dropped an hour before the night leaves someone else with nobody to talk to. Transferring is the release valve, and we will help you find a taker if you ask us early enough.

Who can come

What we are and are not promising

We promise you a run event: a venue, a host, a structured set of conversations with everyone on the other side, and a private match reveal on the night.

We are not promising you a match. Nobody can. Some nights you will match with several people and some nights nobody, and that is the normal range of outcomes, not a fault in the service. There is no refund for not matching.

Headcount can move. People cancel, transfer, and occasionally do not turn up. We aim for a full and balanced room and we will tell you honestly if it is looking thin.

If we change or cancel a night

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

Being asked to leave

If you break the code of conduct, we may ask you to leave and may bar you from future events. There is no refund in that case. We do not take this lightly and we do not do it often, but the room comes first.

We can also decline or cancel a booking, refunding it in full, if we think it is necessary to keep an event safe or balanced.

Photos at events

We may take a small number of photos for our own marketing. We will tell you at the start of the night and there will be an easy way to opt out. Nobody is photographed who does not want to be, and we will not use a photo of you if you ask us not to, before or after the fact. Attendees are asked not to photograph each other without permission.

Your account and your matches

Your pick link is personal to you. Do not share it. Matches and messages are covered by our privacy policy, and the short version is that a one-way like is never revealed to anyone.

Venue and alcohol

Events are held at public, licensed venues. The venue's own rules apply on top of ours, and their staff have the final say inside their space. Drinks are your responsibility unless a ticket explicitly includes one.

Liability

You attend Quickies events voluntarily and you are responsible for your own conduct and belongings. We are not responsible for the actions of other attendees, for anything that happens between you and someone you meet after the event, or for anything outside our reasonable control. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your ticket.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. If we ever need to update them, the version live on this page at the time you bought your ticket is the one that applies to that ticket.
