What we collect and what we do with it.
Short answer: an email, optionally a mobile number, and what we need to actually run the night you paid for. We do not sell any of it. Here are the specifics.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist
- Your email address
- Your mobile number, only if you choose to give it. It is optional and the form works without it.
- Your country and IP address, from your connection
- The date and time you signed up
We use your IP to rate-limit signups and block bots. That is it.
About text messages. If you give us your number, we use it to tell you about upcoming Quickies nights, roughly once or twice a month. We do not use it for anything else, we do not sell it, and we never share it with other attendees.
Reply STOP to any message and we stop immediately. You can also email us and we will remove it. Message and data rates may apply.
We previously asked for your city instead of your number. If you signed up before August 6, 2026 we may still hold the city you gave. Ask and we will delete it.
If you buy a ticket
- Your name and email
- Which side you booked
- A payment reference from Stripe
We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on their own pages. We get back a confirmation and a reference number, nothing else.
If you attend an event
- A photo, if you choose to upload one. This is optional and you can skip it.
- Who you tapped a heart for
- Messages you send to someone you matched with
Your picks are private
This is the part that matters most, so we will be exact about it.
Who you tapped a heart for is never shown to anyone, including that person, unless they tapped you back. A one-way like stays invisible permanently. It is not revealed later, it does not appear in any summary, and the host cannot look it up to tell someone.
The host can see who attended and how many matches an event produced. They cannot see who you individually liked.
Who else touches your data
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Everything, as our hosting and database provider | Runs the site and stores the data |
| Stripe | Your name, email, and payment details | Takes the payment |
| Resend | Your email address and the message content | Sends confirmations, pick links, and match reveals |
That is the complete list. We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers. There are no third-party tracking or advertising scripts on this site.
What other attendees see
At an event, people on the other side see your first name and your photo if you uploaded one. They do not see your email, your last name, or your contact details. If you match with someone, you can message each other through Quickies. Whether you give them anything more than that is entirely up to you.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist emails and numbers: until you ask us to remove you, or until you reply STOP to a text.
- Event records, picks, and messages: kept so you can look back at past events and matches. Ask and we will delete them.
- Event photos: deleted on request, and we delete them anyway once they are no longer needed.
What you can ask for
Email hello@quickies.com and we will do any of these, at no cost:
- Tell you everything we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your account and your data
- Take you off the mailing list, which every email we send can also do in one click
We will get back to you within 30 days, and usually a lot faster. We will not ask you why.
If you are in Washington, California, the EU, or the UK, you have specific statutory rights over your personal data. We apply the list above to everyone regardless of where you live, so you do not have to work out which law covers you.
Cookies
We use a single sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and Cloudflare Turnstile sets what it needs to tell humans from bots. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Age
Quickies is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it immediately.
Changes
If we change this in a way that matters, we will email the list rather than quietly updating the page.
